Yoga is a buzz word in our society at present . June 21 was declared as the International Day of Yoga by the United Nations General Assembly on December 11, 2014.

Art of Yoga originated in India thousands of years ago for keeping body, mind and soul in harmony and for attaining higher level of consciousness.

Yoga means Union of body mind and spirit. Yoga offers a holistic approach for your health. When you perform yoga in its complete sense it offers tremendous benefits for physical, mental and emotional health.

Benefits of yoga are not to be just seen as a list of body ailments that can be relieved but also you evolve from with in . You grow with yoga and experience peace and happiness like never before. Yoga touches every aspect of your life including your thoughts and your relationship with other people and with world in general.

My Yoga classes offer you a one stop shop for all your physical, mental, or spiritual needs.

I have practiced Yoga since childhood and I also had an opportunity to learn Yoga from Indian Gurus and I would like to acknowledge my thanks to all my Yoga teachers and my current teacher for advanced yoga teacher training.

My interest in Mindfulness, Raj yoga, Kriya yoga and bhakti yoga and my experience as a teacher and health professional [qualified Nurse and a Midwife puts me in a best position to meet your needs of either physical exercise as a yoga or mental exercise.

My classes are tailored to your need, I prefer to have channels of communications open from both side and believe in Guru Shishya parampara where teacher tries to give everything he can to his pupils and would like to see them perform at their maximum potential. All teaching of Yoga is given with love and compassion.

I invite you to join my free taster class on first Saturday of every month. If you have never practiced Yoga before, this class will introduce you to the art and science of yoga and its unique experiences that brings positivity in every aspect of your life.


Our yoga class is flexible and you will also have the option to choose a certain length of time that will suit your individual needs.


 The shubh yoga class will include:

  • Theory of Yoga [short explanation while practising]

  •  Yoga asana [body postures]

  • Forward and backward bending asanas for healthy back.

  • Sitting and standing Yoga poses

  • Sun salutation

  • Mantra for positive vibrations

  • Pranayam [breathing exercise]

  • Shavasana [the corpse pose]

  • Meditation [mental relaxation]

  • What to expect after the class

Yoga requires commitment and regular practice to reap the full benefits. After a month of regular practice you will be able to identify subtle changes in your sense of well being. Your Yoga teacher will be available to discuss all your experiences with you and will work with you as a guide to advance your practice so that you can attain maximum benefit.

You have choice of evening class or morning class 10 week term of morning classes will take place every Saturday morning and also on weekdays If you miss out in one of the classes you can come and join the next class.

Holistic Child


You are an expectant mother from the time you have confirmed your pregnancy and you may have lots of questions in your mind but you may not be in position to ask these questions to anyone as you want to keep it secret until first trimester has passed. To cater the need of your first trimester we offer early pregnancy classes from 4 weeks of pregnancy to 14 weeks.

Our Early pregnancy classes include:

* Food safety

* Healthy eating

* Accessing maternity services what’s best

* Keeping fit and healthy

* Mental Health

* Signs to watch out

* What to expect in pregnancy

* Baby’s development

* Yoga and meditation

Time: 10 to 2 on Saturday or weekdays

Or 2 hours evening classes for 2 evenings in 2 weeks [once a week]

Holistic Childbirth and Parenting Classes:

This class is suitable from 28 weeks to 36 weeks. Ideally you should have finished your Antenatal class by week 36.

Our Parentcraft classes are designed to give you all necessary information regarding pregnancy, Labour and parenthood. These classes will boost your confidence and you will feel empowered for making informed decisions for yourself and your baby. We also incorporate an element of relationship in the class and foster the belief that successful parenting requires a strong bond between parents and support from family and friends.

We foster the belief that pregnancy is a physiological event so avoiding unnecessary medical intervention is at the core of our child birth classes. These Classes are called Holistic as they cover all aspect of Mother’s body and mind and her connection to unborn baby and her relationship to family, friends and world at large. We provide you with Tools from ancient wisdom to successfully meet and greet and overcome the challenges of pregnancy and parenting. Including Yoga, meditation and power of breath and thought management and building resilience is at the core of our all teaching.

Postnatal/Post birth Classes:

New parents need guidance and support from Health Professionals. Postnatal classes can boost your confidence in looking after your bundle of joy. Newborns communicate to you in their own unique ways, we help you understand what baby is asking for. Parenting is a 24x7 job with no holidays.

We cater to your psychological and physical needs of healing body and growing mind with new responsibilities. You can attend these classes with baby in your arms or by your side.

Topics for Postnatal class is not limited to but will include:

Mindfulness means paying attention to our direct experiences that are happening in the present moment. It is something that we do half of the time but rest half our thoughts wander off in an autopilot mode.

In Mindfulness Autopilot mode is described as a state of mind where chain of thoughts are happening without our awareness. It is like a default mode of computer. Mindfulness practice helps us to switch the mode to conscious awareness.

Mindfulness is a technique derived from Buddhist meditation where we learn to pay moment to moment attention. It is very much a secular practice. Kabat Zinn , 1994 described Mindfulness as simply a practice of paying attention to what is happening with in us and around us through an intentionally heightened sense of awareness. The practice of mindfulness greatly enhances brain activity in the prefrontal cortex. This brain area is associated with functions that allow executive control and guidance over more primitive brain structures such as the limbic system (Siegel, 2007).

Aim- To awaken the self and reduce suffering from own thoughts and achieve greater fulfilment in life with practice of mindfulness. After completing this programme all participants will be able to –

1. Describe the role of mindfulness in self management & emotional regulation.

2. List the tools for peaceful coexistence with other human beings.

3. Demonstrate the mindfulness of breathing.

4. Experience and explain the power of stillness of mind through regular meditation.

5. Deal with stress of day to day life

6. Manage their thoughts and bring peace in their lives


Mindful Nation UK, a report by the Mindfulness All party parliamentary group in October 2015 recommended Mindfulness as a prevention strategy to reduce the burden of mental ill health, and encourage the flourishing and well being of a healthy Nation. In Ireland the research from the RCSI [Royal College of Surgeons Ireland] showed one in five young Irish adults age 19 to 24 and one in six young people aged 11 to 13 were experiencing mental health problems. Self harm, anxiety, depression and suicide, numbers are ever increasing. If we look at Mental Health statistics in India, a countrywide National Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences (NIMHANS) study has revealed a shocking prevalence of mental illness. About 13.7% of India’s general population is suffering from various mental illnesses and out of those 10.6% require immediate intervention. Starting with Mindful self will be the first and right step in the direction of a Mindful Nation.
